A new report from SD Works claims that UK companies are struggling to digitize their human resources (HR) systems.
The company, which polled more than 3,000 businesses in 11 European countries, found that only one-third (36 percent) of HR segments in the UK had high levels of digital maturity. Furthermore, less than one in ten (9.4 percent) implemented a fully automated, to digitize HR system and integrated HR and payroll system.

HR departments understand that value technology can be brought into everyday operations – hence the frustration with this failure. Less than half (43 %) consider themselves “moderately satisfied” with their current Digitization of HR and payroll processes.
However, since the epidemic is in full swing, not much progress is likely to be made. Digital adoption “may not be on the radar” for many businesses, the report added, adding that neither HR process automation nor digital transition made it into the top ten list of HR priorities.
A large percentage of UK businesses have been polled for a report plan to launch projects aimed at addressing HR process automation in the next twelve months. However, while it may seem paradoxical, digital transformation is an important goal for less than a quarter (22.5 percent) of HRs.
“Due to budget constraints, automation, and digitization of HR during COVID-19 is not a priority for most companies. But from an HR perspective, they are. Advanced Digital Maturity allows you to focus on strategic tasks and enhance the value of your HR team as a business partner, ”said MD HR Europe Ferdy Klaus of Computer Task Group.
